Scout Camp

Arrival at Camp this year was a little different than the other times. I headed out on the Troop bus until we arrived at Ico, then took a drive to Pawnee, Lonestar campsite with Scott to help set up and unpack for some of the younger first year Scouts. Camp boxes and bedding were organized into neat piles so that the new scouts could grab their things and pick a tent.
The next step of first day is to take a hike to the Pool so that we could all take our swimming test, and I have to say it felt pretty good because this year was a heat wave! Each scout is tested too find out the color of band they receive, your color will determine the level you can swim. The day wrapped up with going to the Opening Night Campfire Ceremony, and the 2019 Summer is officially underway!

Scout camp was a blast when everyone was down there. Everyone had a smile on their faces and most were happy. All of the younger scouts were excited for day four to watch their first call night and so were the new braves who were nervous to hear there names called. To become a new brave in the tribe of Mic-O-Say. Our two braves were Clayton and Ryan we had a guest to troop 282 and he also got his brave with us. We had one new Warrior which was Quincy. Everyone had fun at camp and on sunday everyone was happy to see their loved ones. On the last day everyone was happy that they could go home and sleep in their own beds.

Camp 2019 3rd year at camp

For my third year, I mainly liked doing the merit badges. Which were life saving, archery, and rifle shooting. We did the paddling out post and I liked it. That is why I plan to do a look of stuff at lake front next year. I was also able to finish my Star rank before camp was over. I really look forward to camp 2020.
