The Blue and Gray Park Overnight was great. We got to do many activities and all the food was amazing too. The Patrol meals seemed to look good too. For dinner the patrols had pizza, taco salad, steak burritos and hamburgers. For breakfast the patrols had pancakes, eggs, bacon, ham, cheese and egg sandwiches, and sausage and cheese burritos. The troop had a flag retirement ceremony after our troop campfire, which had great songs and skits. I think everyone liked it. Both the campfire and flag retirement ceremony was very well attended by the parents of the scouts. I would like to thank everyone who came on this overnight and I encourage those who didn’t make it out on this overnight to come to the October overnight which is the 23, 24 and 25. You are missing out on a lot of fun.

Troop and Cub Scout Overnight

What a great overnight the Troop had with the Cub Scouts at Blue and Gray Park on September 25, 26 and 27, 2015. The troop put on an overnight for 15 Cub Scouts and some 30 parents of the Pack. The events the troop had were a monkey bridge, marshmallow guns, obsolete course, paper air plane contest and rocket shooting. We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend to spend out in the woods with the Troop and Cub Pack. After the events the Troop prepared taco salad with all the fixings for dinner with the help of the Bear Den. Once dinner was all cleaned up everyone had a little time to relax until the evening campfire where we had songs and skits by the Trop. The Pack wolf Den even had a great skit to help with the entertainment for the evening. We closed the campfire with a flag retirement ceremony. After campfire the Pack was treated to homemade cobblers. After a little more relaxing everyone turned in for the evening. On Sunday morning the Cub Pack was woken by bugle calls, a flag ceremony and breakfast which had a lot of French toast, sausage, mike and orange juice. After everything was cleaned up the Cub Pack broke camp and head home. The Troop is looking forward to another combined overnight in the spring of 2016.
