The scouts and leaders had a great time in Hutchinson, Kansas over the weekend (March 14, 15 and 16) at the Kansas Cosmosphere. The scouts that went earned the Robotic Merit Badge and the leaders that went had a great time watching the scouts build and program their robots to perform a mission on Mars. Did I forget to tell everyone that we went to Mars.
The group got to see how the United States space program was born and how it has developed from orbiting the earth, going to the moon, to living on the international space station to now studying Mars. It was great.
